I just want to say thank you to Evan, KCRW and Westfield Topanga for having such a fantastic event. The pie contest was a lot of fun and even though my Oh So Sweet Sweet Potato Pie didn't win a ribbon, I look forward to next year's event. Watch out!

What a great idea, Evan. WIll you post all the winning recipes? I want to know more about the yin-yang pie.

I had SO much fun yesterday! My first time ever entering something into a bake off. And I met so many wonderful people who share my passion for baking. I just posted my photos from the day to my blog. You can see from them that there was a great variety of pies and an impressive and anxiety-producing judging panel!!

Sorry I missed the event, but I'm privileged to have had more than one of Barbara's pies. She is an amazing baker, and a good friend…a good combo :-)

Thank you so much Evan for putting up a wonderful event. It was amazing to see the crowds and it was a lot of fun! I was very honored to win a ribbon amongst the array of many wonderful pies! I hope there are many more events like this come!
