[this is good]
I will be making this lemonade from my mom's cookbook "The Blue Heron Ranch Cookbook" :

In a large Pitcher (you may need two):
18 Lemons (Meyer are the best)
6 Oranges (blood oranges create a fabulous color)

In a small pan heat and then steep until cool:
1/2 Cup Fresh Mint
4 Cups Water
2 cups Raw Sugar

Mix it all together add 2 trays Ice Cubes (about 8 cups)
Garnish pitcher(s) with 1 cup fresh mint.

Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

If too concentrated, add more water to desired taste.

Here's what I made on the 4th: Fizzy Lemonade (fresh lemon juice/simple syrup/Perrier), Charred Ribs (pork baby backs, rubbed with chili powder and baked in foil then drowned in tomato-onion-garlic-Worcestershire and grill-charred), Lemon-Basil Couscous (fresh juice, basil, and split cherry tomatoes mixed into cold chicken stock-flavored couscous), Grilled Zucchini, Deviled Eggs (Dijon mustard/mayo), Blue Cheese-Stuffed Giant Green Olives, Tiny Marinated Mozzarella Balls, Crusty Rolls, and Minty Watermelon Balls (home-grown fresh mint).
