Dear Evan Kleiman,

 I was excited to see your article in the UCLA Alumni magazine and I
decided it was finally time to write some fan mail. I started listening
to Good Food when I moved to LA for college and was teaching myself to
cook-- on an "antique" oven that only broiled and often filled my
miniscule apartment with gas. The podcasts were a lifesaver when I
returned to Northern CA after finishing UCLA, and your show was part of
the reason I decided to move back down to get my MFA. I have discovered a
solace in cooking and Good Food is always a part of it.
  When I'm feeling dispassionate about my graduate program, worried about
the art career ahead of me, or just sick of living in Orange County,
Good Food is always an inspiration to cook a new dish, read a new book,
or drive to LA to try a restaurant. Thank you so much for the
intriguing mix of topics and your fabulously pure laugh!
