A couple of weeks ago I spoke with Good Food listener Mars Berman, who told us about some unusual food customs in Poland, where she lives. One of these customs is the Second Breakfast, which is given to school children. Today, she sent us some more pictures of this 10:30 am snack:
Karolinka is 2.9 and is serving the food her mom packed. She and others helped cut and make the food platters that are set on each table. We save all our bread leftovers to feed the ducks and peacocks in the park nearby. Lazienki Park is huge and fabulous and we walk there every Friday. All the leftover vegetables go to the rabbit Artur.
I would like to keep a pig so we truly have no rubbish. Note, the glass plates and cups.
